In a pioneering move to strengthen transparency in transactions and position Dubai amongst international standards, Dubai Land Department (DLD) provides real estate data access to the public, including sales transactions, gifts, mortgages, Ejari registrations, valuations, land, building and unit data, as well as broker, development, and projects data.
In 2020, the release of the JLL Global Real Estate Transparency Index declared Dubai to be in the 36th place globally, which positioned the metropolis as a semi-transparent market and on the ‘cusp of transparency’, Dubai-based magazine Gulf Business reports.
The newly available data released by DLD, which is updated daily based on the market transactions, can be found on their website.
Adham Younis, Group CEO of D&B Properties, says, “Dubai has and is a driving force for bold initiatives that bring about positive change, and this is no different. As the world progresses and society does with it, transparency in our dealings and in our industries is an important tool in gaining trust and conducting business justly. This initiative can be advantageous in the real estate business for both ends of the party – for real estate companies in Dubai which will help and enable us in determining demand patterns of consumers, and for investors and residents around the world in identifying well-developed and prosperous communities.”
